{"id":233,"date":"2020-10-12T14:18:03","date_gmt":"2020-10-12T14:18:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/?p=233"},"modified":"2021-08-10T11:11:49","modified_gmt":"2021-08-10T11:11:49","slug":"adax-wifi-heaters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/index.php\/2020\/10\/12\/adax-wifi-heaters\/","title":{"rendered":"Adax Wifi Heaters"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As I wrote in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/index.php\/2020\/08\/12\/quick-introduction-to-my-smart-home\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/index.php\/2020\/08\/12\/quick-introduction-to-my-smart-home\/\">first post<\/a>, I have four <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/adax.no\/wi-fi\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/adax.no\/wi-fi\/\" target=\"_blank\">Adax Wifi Clea<\/a> heaters located in the living room that does have Wifi, but can&#8217;t be integrated into Home Assistant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, today everything changed. I was googling around a bit and found out that integration to Adax Wifi heaters existed! I was wondering how can that be, because there&#8217;s no API available. I opened the Adax app from my Android phone and found out that Adax had opened up their API for public use! Just magnificent customer service from a Norwegian company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Integration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><s>Integration into Home Assistant was very easy. Just install Adax integration from <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Danielhiversen\/home_assistant_adax\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Danielhiversen\/home_assistant_adax\" target=\"_blank\">GitHub<\/a> or using <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/hacs.xyz\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hacs.xyz\/\" target=\"_blank\">HACS<\/a> (method I used).<\/s><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s now an official Adax integration included in Home Assistant from version 2021.08. Configuration is as simple as before:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Create a secret password and get your account ID from Adax app and add integration from Home Assistant integrations UI. All done and it&#8217;s working great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, all the heaters are grouped into a same entity (because located in a same room). It could be better if the heaters were separate entites.. don&#8217;t know yet, time will tell that one \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recommendation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyhow, now that the heaters can be integrated into HA, I really can recommend them!
