It&#8217;s an upgrade to their previous model of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/index.php\/2023\/11\/10\/review-switchbot-k10-a-little-help-for-daily-cleaning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">K10+ that I&#8217;ve reviewed previously<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this article I&#8217;m having a look on the new pro version and see exactly how it differs from the previous model. Most of the features and software setup are basically the same so I won&#8217;t be going through those. You can read the setting up process and software features from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/index.php\/2023\/11\/10\/review-switchbot-k10-a-little-help-for-daily-cleaning\/\">original K10+ review<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Disclaimer: I\u2019ve receive the tested device for free on reviewing purposes, but as always, the opinions are 100% my own and this does not affect the product review<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"0-specifications\">Specifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Product specifications are quite typical for low- to mid-range robot vacuums (except the size of this thing):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Suction power&nbsp;<strong>3000pa<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Auto-empty station (capacity&nbsp;<strong>4 litres<\/strong>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vacuum dimensions&nbsp;<strong>24.8mm<\/strong>&nbsp;(diameter) x&nbsp;<strong>9mm<\/strong>&nbsp;(height)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mopping capability (using disposable mopping sheets)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lidar navigation, PSD and mapping<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Matter, SmartThings, IFTTT, Google, Siri and Alexa support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-whats-in-the-box\">What\u2019s in the box<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s everything needed in the package to get started:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>K10+ Pro vacuum cleaner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Auto-empty station<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User manual and a quick start guide<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three dust bags (two extra)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two side brushes (one extra)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extra filter (one is already installed in the vacuum)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>30 disposable wet clothes for mopping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1020\" src=\"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240901_081817232.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3464\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240901_081817232.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240901_081817232-226x300.jpg 226w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Differences<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>K10+ Pro outlook is almost identical with the non-pro version, but two noticeable things can be seen: <strong>front radar has been changed<\/strong> and main brush has been switched into <strong>anti-tangle all-rubber brush<\/strong>. Everything else seems to be as it was on non-pro version externally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1020\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240901_081821755.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240901_081821755.jpg 1020w, https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240901_081821755-300x226.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240901_081821755-768x578.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1020px) 100vw, 1020px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Suction power<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the hood has been done the <strong>most needed upgrade<\/strong> and the suction power has been increased from 2500Pa<strong> <\/strong>to<strong> 3000Pa<\/strong>. It&#8217;s a decent 500Pa increase compared to the non-pro version, which may not sound much, but it&#8217;s actually very noticeable. The bot can easily pick up crumbs from the floor where non-pro did have a slight issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though the suction power has been increased it does not seem to have increasing effect to the to the noise level, it&#8217;s as silent as non-pro version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Better on corners<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>SwitchBot K10+ Pro claims to do better cleaning on the corners by <strong>increasing side brush speed to 200 rpm<\/strong>. During my test round, I did not see real difference between K10+ and Pro on corner cleaning results, but more is more. It can&#8217;t be a bad upgrade anyways, most probably it will clean up better on some environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rubber brush<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 20%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Another big improvement is the new <strong>anti-tangle full rubber brush<\/strong> as where the non-pro version has a standard brush. Standard brush gets easiliy tangled up with pet hair. However, the brushes are compatible between K10+ and pro version, so you can buy the anti-tangle brush also for the non-pro version.<\/p>\n<\/div><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1020\" src=\"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240904_124253645.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3485 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240904_124253645.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240904_124253645-226x300.jpg 226w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Obstacle avoidance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe the second best upgrade is the <strong>PSD<\/strong> (Position Sensitive Detector) that helps the bot avoid obstacles better. While the non-pro version only relies on Lidar SLAM, the pro <strong>adds the PSD for extra obstacle detection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I tested it with couple of dog bones and dog toys and it succesfully went around them properly. The non-pro did just pass through and sometimes got stuck. So no more collecting toys to be able to vacuum!.. in theory at least. It still won&#8217;t recognize everything and can get stuck occasionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1020\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240904_124224855.MP_.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3488\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240904_124224855.MP_.jpg 1020w, https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240904_124224855.MP_-300x226.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.creatingsmarthome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/PXL_20240904_124224855.MP_-768x578.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1020px) 100vw, 1020px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other noteworthy features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The K10+ Pro has even more noteworthy features that are also available on standard K10+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The SwitchBot K10+ Pro <strong>supports matter<\/strong> when using <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3MA3xTj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SwitchBot Hub 2<\/a><\/strong> or <strong>Hub Mini Matter<\/strong>. The Matter support is still limited only to start\/stop cleaning and is brought to standard K10+ too with a firmware update.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supports Alexa, Google, Siri, IFTTT and SmartThings. Also available with standard K10+.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Easy to install and configure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Great software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>K10+ Pro has it&#8217;s improvements compared to the standard K10+, but it <strong>comes with a 100$ price increase<\/strong>. Is it worth it? Well, it depends. Standard K10+ is decent robo vac, but lacks the suction power.
